WE ARE CURRENTLY RECRUITING FOR THE 2013/14 JUNIOR HAWKS MERLINS
Hi to all the Junior Hawks from The Sting. Our kids had a great day out at Blackburn a couple of weeks ago and I know that defeats are hard on kids for all of about 10 minutes! We have been there and got that T-shirt. Our first ever game against the mighty Pumas left us battered, 49 – 0 and with the crowd chanting “we want 50!” I know that our team and parents have not forgotten that game.
So, the game Hawks v Sting – it was a great game for all as it was played in the right spirit with both sets of players trying their best. The Hawks goalies had a great game making fantastic saves and keeping the game alive for the watching crowd. The defence were put under a bit of pressure but the forwards worked hard on the back-check making sure our players had to skate hard which is great for them too. From a development point of view I think both teams will have taken plenty from the game and the coaches will be delighted with their teams performance.
